From my own experience, the return lover spells that failed usually had the following common characteristics: (1) The relationship ended more than 6 months ago, (2) The client no longer talks with their ex, (3) The ex-lover is happy in a new relationshp, (4) The client has already cast many love spells with other psychics to no avail.
While I did cast a spell for a woman to reunite with her husband who had left her 1 year earlier and this did work (within 45 days they were together and still are to this day), this was the exception rather than the norm.
The best spells of this type are cast and effective if you and your lover broke up less than a month ago. I would say in my practice that my spells are 95% effective if the relationship is freshly broken up (within 30 days), 80% effective if under 3 months, and 50% effective if longer than 4 months.
Perhaps that’s just me, but I have spoken to other spell casters and they are about the same percentage wise.
Moral of this post? Don’t wait too long if you wish to reconcile with your lover, and better yet, avoid break ups (arguments, jealousy, possessiveness) to avoid the pain that follows!

Break up spells are spells intended to literally split up a couple. They can be used when you have a love rival trying to take away your lover, but some malicious people cast them out of spite and hatred. I honestly don’t like these spells, they give spell casting a “bad name”.
If you desire to break a couple up, why not spend the energy on finding someone who will love you, want to be with you and only you instead? Why waste time, money and energy wishing ill on someone else? Honestly, I just don’t understand.
Now if someone is interfering with your relationship (one that is already established and a third-party is trying to break you up), then a protection spell on your relationship would be better than to try to remove the rival (at least in my opinion).
Stay away from break up spells, nothing good comes out of hate and evil. You can cast a spell for TRUE love to come to you. You don’t have to break anyone up! In fact, even if the person you are meant to be is with someone else, your TRUE LOVE spell will bring them to you, if it is meant to be!

A binding love spell is a ritual love spell which causes one persons’ soul to literally be “bound” to another.
In this type of love magic, it is said that once bound, the two souls must remain together - even beyond the grave!
This is serious magick folks, very manipulative. I have seen first hand what can happen when you are bound to the “wrong person”, or even to someone whom seemed nice. Out of all the types of magick, honestly, this is the one that can go terrible wrong.
When and why people do love binding spells? Usually it is when all other attempts have failed to gain the love of another. It is a specific spell cast on a specific person. Not every witch does it, and those that do, always warn the client that it “cannot be undone”. These are the true binding love spells.
The big mistake that most people who seek this type of spell makes is that they think that they are only binding (or forcing) the object of their affection to be with them. Not true. The “couple” is bound to each other, even when you are really doing it for your lover to follow you around like puppy in love.
Here is a true story, which I lived through and witnessed: my dad used to fool around with women all the time. He was a musician, and basically was on the road all the time - so, wherever he was, there he would bed some babe. Well, one day he met a woman who from my point of view, become obsessed with him.
This gal was married with children, but literally did *everything* to win my dad (maybe she thought he had money? Who knows). This woman was/is a witch (by my dad’s own words), and did many spells on him. They had a torrid affair!
But my momma was no “punk”. No matter what this woman did, my dad always came home and would break it off with her, often publically and in a humiliating way.
To make a long story short, this woman went and did a love binding spell on my dad. From that day on, my dad pleaded with my mom to help him. He said he would “see” the woman standing in front of him, even when there was no one in the room!
My dad went to all kinds of psychics to remove this spell, and no one could help. Finally, he confessed to my mom (in a last ditch effort to stop obsessing over this woman), that one freaky night - after many humiliating break ups, she made him swear he would never leave her - taking a blood oath and cutting a lock of his hair! (why on earth would he do this???) He said he did it kidding around as he never really believed much in witchcraft.
He said that from that moment forth, he would always think about her, even “see” her as an appirition. He would dream, obsess and more. My mom told him he was “bound for life” and there was nothing she could do. (Besides, mom was fed up by now - their marriage was long over).
My dad lives with this woman for over 20 years now. Everytime I see him, or his friends, he tells EVERYONE he is miserable and cannot leave her. (This type of spell goes “beyond the grave” so poor dad is stuck).
It is never a happy ending with this of the most forceful, manipulative spells. I highly warn people not to even try it - its’ like being in a loveless hellish relationship - forever!

For centuries Gypsies (Romani) travelled around the world providing psychic readings and creating spells of all types, especially for love.
I have always been in love with the image of gypsies, dark haired woman with a gleam in their eyes, fortelling peoples fortunes. It wasn’t until I was in high school that I met a classmate of true Romani ancestry.

From ReligiousTolerance.com “Vodun (a.k.a. Vodoun, Voudou, Voodoo, Sevi Lwa) is commonly called Voodoo by the public. The name is traceable to an African word for “spirit”. Vodun’s can be directly traced to the West African Yoruba people who lived in 18th and 19th century Dahomey. Its roots may go back 6,000 years in Africa. That country occupied parts of today’s Togo, Benin and Nigeria. Slaves brought their religion with them when they were forcibly shipped to Haiti and other islands in the West Indies.
Vodun, like Christianity, is a religion of many traditions. Each group follows a different spiritual path and worships a slightly different pantheon of spirits, called Loa. The word means “mystery” in the Yoruba language.
Vodun rituals: The purpose of rituals is to make contact with a spirit, to gain their favor by offering them animal sacrifices and gifts, to obtain help in the form of more abundant food, higher standard of living, and improved health. Human and Loa depend upon each other; humans provide food and other materials; the Loa provide health, protection from evil spirits and good fortune. Rituals are held to celebrate lucky events, to attempt to escape a run of bad fortune, to celebrate a seasonal day of celebration associated with a Loa, for healing, at birth, marriage and death.
Vodun priests can be male (houngan or hungan), or female (mambo). A Vodun temple is called a hounfour (or humfort). At its center is a poteau-mitan a pole where the God and spirits communicate with the people. An altar will be elaborately decorated with candles, pictures of Christian saints, symbolic items related to the Loa, etc. Rituals consist of some of the following components:
- a feast before the main ceremony,
- creation of a veve, a pattern of flour or cornmeal on the floor which is unique to the Loa for whom the ritual is to be conducted,
- shaking a rattle and beating drums which have been cleansed and purified, chanting,
dancing by the houngan and/or mambo and the hounsis (students studying Vodun).
The dancing will typically build in intensity until one of the dancers (usually a hounsis) becomes possessed by a Loa and falls. His or her ti bon ange has left their body and the spirit has taken control. The possessed dancer will behave as the Loa and is treated with respect and ceremony by the others present.
Animal sacrifice; this may be a goat, sheep, chicken, or dog. They are usually humanely killed by slitting their throat; blood is collected in a vessel. The possessed dancer may drink some of the blood. The hunger of the Loa is then believed to be satisfied. The animal is usually cooked and eaten. Animal sacrifice is a method of consecrating food for consumption by followers of Vodun, their gods and ancestors.
Unfortunately, Hollywood movies and horror tv shows, make light, exploit and give this religion a bad name. It is afterall a religion, with clergy and proceedures known to the initiated.
When a mambo or houngan does a love spell, it is to entreat the lwa/loa to act on behalf of the clients love request. A ritual to reunite lovers, end stress and discord (or create it), and to find a lover are the most common love spells requested.
Mambo Nelly of http://www.mambonelly.com says that not all love spells require animal sacrifice. Mambo Nelly does offer vegetarian offerings to the lwa/loa when a client specifies it. She also “ties” a wanga/ounga (spell) which only uses herbs, roots, oils, and other non-animal materials.
Her spells she says “work, because there is real power behind it”. There is a lot more to voodoo apparently.

Santeria type of love spells will request the help of one of the above deities, [usually Ochun (Goddess of Love) but can be anyone of the others] to help bring a lover, save a marriage, reconcile a broken relationship, return an ex, and even remove a rival.

So many first-time clients ask me “what can I do to help my spell work, work faster, etc?” that I decided to write this article.
First, I want to dispel the myth of “instant magick” (where you cast a spell and a smoke from the spell rises, finds your lover and “pow” hits them in their heart and they “instantly” love you more, follow you around like a dog in heat, and confess their undying love. Sorry, but I think television and movies have much as much blame perpetuating this myth as do our over-active imaginations.
Nothing in our world happens overnight. Everything in nature (and in the supernatural) takes time. You plant a seed today, and do not expect a tree tomorrow. A woman has sex with a man, and though the process of conception can begin instantly from the moment the sperm reaches the egg, so it is with love spells and magick in general.
I use this example of human conception to explain how magick works. In the background the sperm reaches and penetrates the egg and the process of life begins. When you cast a spell, it is very similar. The ritual and/or words of power (sperm), impregnates the ether/spiritual world and ‘conception’ (your spells’ goals) takes place! Your goal is beginning to form and manifest from that moment on.
With magick, it may take days, weeks or months for your spell to fully come to pass. Much depends on your particular circumstances and whay you do after the spell has been cast. Once a spell is cast, there are things that you do in the physical, mundane world which affects the progress of your spell coming true.
But just like human conception, a woman can abort that new life forming in her womb, sometimes clients can also “abort” the purpose of their spell!
One of the ways clients can interrupt their spell from manifesting is by doing dumb things like arguing with a lover they are trying to attract.
Sounds too simple, but really, if you are trying to win someone over, arguing, disagreeing, nagging, etc. is not the way!
Clients trying to find a new lover (i.e. soul mate or someone to date) should do common sense things like trying to improve their appearance through grooming, and simply putting themselves in positions where they can meet new people.
Many of my clients are shy, or lack appropriate social skills and are uncomfortable meeting new people. That’s ok, but if you just try (go out and be seen by many) you stand to improve the chances that your spell will work and will work - fast!
For those trying to win back a lover, sometimes the bridge of communication has been destroyed. Your options are limited, or you cannot for one reason or another contact your ex-love.
Put on your thinking cap! You may not be able to speak directly to your lover but could know someone in common that could deliver a message.
If you and your lover are in two different cities for example, with no communication at all (or your ex refuses to speak to you), then this is when a positive mental attitude will save your sanity, as well as help the spell work.

The basic principle of magic (or sometimes spelled with a “k” at the end to differentiate it from stage magic) is that magick is al around us, in the seas, the forests, and the crowded centers we call cities.
It is in us. It is not the reseve of just some people, but is accessible to anyone approaching it with respect and a down-to-earth attitude.
Magick is wonderful and is nothing to be afraid of. It does not need rare and expensive ingredients or a special “ritual” to be effective.
It is part of our everyday world, and can be estraordinarily practical.

What is necessary then? A clear mind, a set goal, and belief. Focus all of these and direct the energy towards your goal, and half the magick is already done!
I and many witches and spell casters often work with dieties, spiritual guides and cast powerful spells using simple and complex rituals. It all really depends on the need, the goal, what you have on hand and, your instincts.
There are many books on the market providing spells, and you can use these as a guide to create our own. I personally believe that the best spells come from the heart - once you know what tools correspond with your goal.
